I am presuming the above train (time included in subject line) was part of the extra services provided for the Volvo Ocean Race and the failure of a driver to show up for duty was a consequence, but this presumption may be incorrect.
Whatever the scheduling arrangement the failure to run a service for this reason on what was probably Galway's busiest weekend in decades is the stuff of a banana republic comprised of a Neanderthal population.
I know this letter shall be of little affect and only serves to keep one more person employed and pensionable in the great monolith of inefficiency that is Iarnrod Eireann.
